Rhelion Life Sciences Corp. has announced that its subsidiary, Filament Health Corp., is initiating a stability program for its botanical ibogaine drug candidate, IBEX011. This move, revealed on September 10, 2026, aims to meet the growing demand for pharmaceutical-grade ibogaine suitable for regulated clinical research, according to the company.

Filament Health's stability program will focus on IBEX011, a total-alkaloid extract derived from the Tabernanthe iboga root. This extract is produced using Filament's proprietary techniques for extraction, purification, and stabilization. Although IBEX011 has not yet received approval from the FDA, Health Canada, or any other regulatory body, the company is positioning itself as a key supplier of GMP-quality ibogaine for research purposes.

U.S. Policy Encourages Ibogaine Research

The announcement comes amid increasing interest in ibogaine research in the United States, driven by recent policy changes. An Executive Order signed in April 2026 aims to accelerate treatments for mental illnesses, specifically mentioning ibogaine.
